Overview
The Clinical Laboratory at BAMTH is a fully equipped, high-throughput diagnostic facility providing accurate and timely results to support clinical decision-making across all departments. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our laboratory uses the latest automated analyzers and follows strict quality assurance protocols.
Laboratory Services
Biochemistry: Blood glucose, HbA1c, renal function tests (BUN, creatinine), liver function tests, thyroid function tests (TSH, T3, T4), lipid profiles, cardiac markers (troponin, CK-MB, BNP), inflammatory markers (CRP, ESR), urine analysis and urine culture
Haematology: Full blood count (CBC), peripheral blood film, coagulation studies (PT, APTT, INR), reticulocyte count, haemoglobin electrophoresis
Microbiology: Blood cultures, urine cultures, sputum cultures, wound swabs, AFB smear and culture for TB, sensitivity testing
Serology & Immunology: Hepatitis B and C screening, HIV testing, syphilis (VDRL, TPHA), typhoid (Widal), dengue antigen and antibody, autoimmune markers (ANA, ANCA, anti-dsDNA)
Histopathology & Cytology: Tissue biopsy analysis, FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology), PAP smears, fluid cytology
Hormone Assays: Comprehensive hormonal testing including reproductive hormones, thyroid, adrenal and pituitary hormones
Special Tests: Tumour markers, therapeutic drug monitoring, metabolic panels.
